Gyoza

Ingredients: 

– 100g ground chicken 

– 10 gyoza wrappers 

– 65g Chinese cabbage 

– 1 clove garlic 

– 1 tbsp soy sauce 

– 1 tsp sesame oil 

– 1 tsp mirin 

– 1 tsp cornstarch 

Instructions: 

1. Let the gyoza wrappers thaw. Finely chop the cabbage and steam it briefly in a pan with a splash of water. Finely chop the garlic as well. 

2. In a large bowl, add the ground chicken, steamed cabbage, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, mirin, and cornstarch. Mix everything well. 

3. Take a gyoza wrapper and place about a teaspoon of the filling mixture in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water and fold it in half, pressing the edges to seal. 

4. Heat a pan with a little oil over medium heat and fry the gyoza until golden brown on the bottom. 

5. Once browned, add a splash of water to the pan and cover with a lid. Let the gyoza steam until fully cooked. 

Serve with a small bowl of chili sauce on the side and enjoy!
