Berry and cream cheese stuffed french toast

- 4 oz (113g) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries), chopped
- 8 slices thick bread (such as brioche or challah)
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- Butter or cooking spray, for cooking
- Maple syrup
- Powdered sugar
- Additional berries for garnish
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
