How to burn more calories in a day 

Exercise burns calories, you probably already know that. But throughout the day, you are also burning quite a lot of calories. You burn calories by walking, working, doing groceries, house chores, putting your kids to bed, and so on. But how can you burn even more calories in a day without too much effort? 

Cleaning 

Instead of hiring a cleaner, clean your house yourself. Not only will you likely do a better job than your cleaner, but you’ll also burn calories in the process. You’ll be sweating faster than you think! 

Dog 

Get a dog. Owning a dog forces you to go outside and walk, which means more calories burned. 

Groceries 

This may not burn a lot of extra calories, but every little bit helps. When shopping, carry a basket instead of using a cart. This way, you’ll add a bit more weight to your arms. 

Office chair 

At work, you probably sit in an office chair. Try replacing it with a fitness ball. Sitting on a fitness ball forces you to improve your posture by engaging your core. It’s good for your posture and also burns a few calories. 

Go for walks with friends  

By regularly going for walks with friends, you can enjoy social time while also staying active. This adds extra steps to your step count, movement, fresh air, and sunlight to your day. Walking outside also helps you think more creatively and improves problem-solving.
